Yellow-faced Honeyeater
Male and females look alike. Identified by the yellow stripe under the eye with black above and below it. One the face there is also a white ear tuft and spot above/behind the eye.
Primary food source is nectar but they also take manna, honeydew and insects.
The birds I see are are race barroni and confined to the highlands of Far North Queensland. They like open woodlands, parks and gardens.
