Millstream Falls - February 2022

Approaching the waterfall.

On a recent trip to the Tablelands for work I visited Millstream Falls for the first time in a longtime. At one stage I would explore along Millstream nearly every weekend.

A tree lining the path in.

When you are not fighting your way through 6 foot high razor grass the walk up to the falls is stunning. I never get tired of those trees.

My lunch spot.

Before settling in to take some photos I took time to have a very late lunch and a cup of coffee. This is the spot I usually do that.

A friend drops by.

All too often when I take a break in the bush one of the locals joins me for a chat.

The falls on this visit.

On this day there was a lot of water passing over the falls. I prefer it when the water flow is slower and the stunning rock face is revealed, like the photo below. These are the widest waterfalls in Australia. To get some idea of the width notice the two people standing to the left in the photo above.

November 2019.

When the water flow is slower as it was back in 2019 on a previous visit the rock face is stunning in early morning light.

The view on the way out.

As the sun got very low I decided to make my way out and head home. This was the view as I made my way along the river.
