5 Mile Creek swimming hole.
This is a very pretty swimming hole just 7 kilometres south of Cardwell. From the number of tables in the day use area and the steel platform from which you enter the water, I think this is a very popular spot. When you see how crystal clear the water is you understand why. You can just see the reflection of the steel ladder in the top right of the photo.

As well as from the platform you can also access the creek from the picnic area using a very short track that takes you to the beautiful rocks that line the edges and continue further down stream. I will be visiting again.
