Charmillin Creek Waterfall - Ravenshoe
I have driven past the Charmillin Creek sign many times. It was not until I stopped and walked the track that I discovered that on the way to the creek there is a waterfall. In fact I will have to go back to complete the track to the Creek as I never made it past the waterfall on this day.
There is a small carpark to the side of this sign on the Tully Falls Road. You can see there is no mention of the falls on the track sign. The walk to the falls is about 20 minutes from the carpark if I recall correctly.
The path is bit overgrown and rough in patches but very walkable. The photo above is as bad as it got on the day I walked it.
Along the track you will eventually get to this sign. Turn right and that takes you past a small shelter shed and down to the falls.
The top part of the falls has some wonderful colours in the rocks. The day I was there the sun was shining directly down onto this red section.
