Behana Gorge, May 2020
About 50klms south of Cairns is Behana Gorge. The spot is very popular for people who exercise the walk up to Clambshell Falls. I like peace and quiet so I tend to avoid the falls area and walk further downstream.
As the COVID 19 restrictions started to ease in May 2020 Behana Gorge was was one of the first places I went just to sit outside by the running water. With the little bit of rain we have had of late the water is running and moss covered rocks and trees are a vibrant green.
The photos above was taken in late 2019 and highlights why I never tire of visiting this spot. It is always a little different and back then very slow running water was like a mirror in the late afternoon sunlight.
