A walk in Wooroonooran

15th December 2020

I have a favourite stretch of river in Wooroonooran National Park that I love to visit. It has been quite a while since I spent some time in there and yesterday I decided to go for a walk, sit and have a coffee at this beautiful spot.

As you walk along the river you see many trees that have been knocked over and then carried away by higher water. When the rain comes again it will carry logs like this down the river and flow well over the top of this one.

This is where I stopped and got the jet boil out and made a cup of coffee. The only company I had during my break were a couple of feral pigs. Unfortunately I was too slow to film them.

With the water being so low for so long plants have had a chance to grow where they would normally not. More than likely when the water comes it will pass over this rock and end the plants short lived life.

This was the final photo I took just before the sun vanished and I head out in near darkness. A very stunning place to spend the afternoon.

On the way out in the dark I bumped into this fella as I shone my torch ahead.
