Barron Gorge - December 2019
I am working the last few days of 2019 but I am not taking meetings and generally trying to slow down. My bushwalks have been far and few between for the latter part of this year so yesterday I headed to the nearby Barron Gorge.
It so much wants to rain here in Cairns and when it does the water will rise and flow a lot more rapidly. For now these kayakers still seem to have fun in the short sections of faster water.
Despite it being overcast most of the time when the sun was out it was extremely hot. To get out of the heat I sat high up on a rock under a tree to take the photos of the kayakers. Just as I was about to leave that spot I noticed that the entire underneath of the tree that shaded me was covered with the little balls.
