4 weddings and a birth
7th January 2022 - Customer locations: Cairns, Brisbane & Western Australia.
The first of the four wedding rings I want to share with you is a heart tiara made in 18 carat rose gold. It features 5 diamonds set into the tiara base. For this design the customer had seen the concept elsewhere but rather than a standard ring she needed one custom made to fit her engagement ring.
The hammered wedding ring has been a favourite for many years amongst my customers. They can be quite tricky to make. One of the methods used to increase the size of a ring is to stretch it by hammering.
With this design you have to make the ring smaller than the desired size so that once the hammering pattern is applied it is the right size. Getting it just right is the tricky part.
This lady originally wanted two stackable rings. After trying two seperate rings she decided to make one ring that looked like two. This solved the issues of them separating down the finger, rubbing against each other and also made the ring a whole lot easier to resize if the need ever arose.
The fourth wedding ring is the ring that was never meant to be. This lady when she first had the engagement ring made planned to use that as her wedding ring as well. This is a concept I like very much especially for some designs that do not suit having another ring worn next to them.
A couple of years later and she changed her mind and asked me to make her a stand alone wedding ring. Fortunately when I made the engagement ring the design was set up to have a wedding ring sit next to it.
It was made in 18ct palladium white gold and has ten hammer set diamonds spaced around the ring .
Lastly we mark the arrival of a second child to a family. The childs name is in Arabic and also features her birthstone of garnet bezel set under the bail. The pendant was made in Palladium Sterling Silver.
Have a great weekend and again all the best for 2022.
