Happy New Year 2022
4th January 2021 - Customer Location: Palm Cove
Weddings are starting to take place again in large numbers and this couples was held just before Christmas. They could wait no longer for COVID restrictions to end so they live streamed their wedding from Cairns to relatives in India and South Africa, even I got to attend :)
This pin represents the groom’s South African heritage. It is a King Protea pin created out of 9ct yellow gold. The Protea is 1.4cm wide and 1.3cm tall. I even custom made the safety caps for the 6cm long pin in gold.
The first Protea took four times the amount of time to create than the second. It took forever, so long I cannot froce myself to type it :) Best I forget!
It is customers like this young couple that have helped my business make it this far during COVID, despite their own accomodation business being drastically effected. I know we are supposed to “all be in it together” but after 2 years of this it hardly feels like it.
On a positive note, for those that have been unaffected by COVID financially I truly hope that continues for you in 2022. For those that have suffered I hope your fortunes change…and for every one I wish the most important things of all in 2022, happiness & health.
