Fine tuning the proposal ring

12th March 2021 - Customer location: Cairns

In 2019 I created a proposal ring using a .60ct main diamond (slightly larger than shown) in the design above. In the year following the engagement the couple worked with me on creating the wedding ring design.

After quite a bit of exploring this is what the customer decided to make. A twisted diamond set wire look. The ring would be made in 18ct yellow gold with 29 grain set diamonds.

To the left above you can see the changes needed for the wedding ring to sit better next to the engagement ring. The ring set to the right shows how they would sit if we made no changes to the proposal ring.

The next step was to make the wedding ring and once it was done I remade the proposal ring to match it perfectly.

The remade proposal ring and wedding ring together.

Because the customer put off remaking the proposal ring until she had decided on her wedding ring the changes to the engagement ring were all covered in the initial cost of the engagement ring.

Tully Gorge

The place from My World this week that I want to share is a waterfall from Tully Gorge. This one reminds me of the rock face of Millstream falls…not as wide but a lot higher. Have a great weekend.
