From earlier in the year.....

The jewellery chains do have some nice designs. Where they generally fall down is the build quality and providing the option for customers to choose the quality of the materials used and also alter finer points of designs.
The first thing that we changed with this design was increase the main diamond size and reduce the halo diamond size to as you see above. We then increased the quality of all the diamonds for colour and clarity.
The original design had a ruby in the gallery section and this customer changed the gemstone to a sapphire. The jewellery chain ring band was made in 14ct rose gold and this one in 18ct rose gold.
The use of 14ct alloys usually indicates an imported ring made for the American market where 14ct is very popular. One of Australia’s largest jewellery chains has stores in the US.
Much of the rest fo the design was left unchanged. other than my usual practise of making rings thicker and stronger than jewellery chain rings.
Article: What to expect when you buy your engagement ring from a jewellery chain. Not good!
For the last couple of days I have been roaming the Tablelands as I am technically finished for the year. Today however I am back in the office to deliver a ring to a Weipa customer and for a telephone meeting with a NSW customer. I also have one final job to do for another Weipa customer.
Soiuta Falls on the Old Palmerston Highway I have not visited for a year or so. The place freaks my wife out a bit because of the leeches. I was on my own so decided to visit.
Unlike most I prefer the falls before the waterflow gets too heavy so at the moment they are perfect…..just like Pepina Falls just down the road from Souita. If you decide to visit there make just keep an eye out for the leeches.
Have a great weekend, my son is back from Uni in Brisbane so I am taking the family up to Ravenshoe.
