The puzzle ring.
February 6th 2012
Some wedding rings are a lot of fun to make. This three tone mens puzzle wedding ring was one of those.
I hope everyone has a had great start to 2012. This year started out where 2011 left off for me, extremely busy. My last job for 2011 was delivered Christmas eve and since I returned to work mid January my diary has been full of appointments to meet with many old and some new customers. I am very grateful to be so busy but it has meant that I have had little time to write any posts for the website.
Quite a few of the jobs that I been doing at the start of this year have been very nice men`s wedding rings and I would like to share one of them with you today.
I have made a few puzzle wedding rings over the years and they always turn out to be a lot of fun to make. This ring is the largest I have made at a finger size Z+1 and a width of 11ml.
To avoid any problems with a ring this width not fitting exactly as wanted I made up a silver draft for the customer to come in and try on to confirm the exact size before making the actual ring. Resizing a ring of this type of design is quite complicated as you can image.
9ct golds were used in the ring with the centre piece being white gold with yellow and rose golds either side. I have lots of other jobs to share with you all soon. Take care.
