Modifying an Engagement ring design to your tastes.
August 11th 2012
Tina found a design that was close to what she wanted but just not quite right. See how after a few small changes to that design we ended up with her perfect ring.
Finding the exact engagement ring design that suits your budget and tastes can be quite difficult. If however you find a design you like but is not exactly what you want, I can alter it to your requirements.
Tina was searching for an engagement ring and found the design to the right on my website. She liked it but wanted to make the following changes:
princess cut diamonds channel set into the band
the band slightly wider
the white gold setting slightly bolder at the top
After finding a centre diamond that fitted Tina`s budget I digitally edited up some photos of that design to reflect her changes and once they were approved set about making a silver draft to her finger size. The silver draft was the most important part of the process for Tina as she had concerns about how the ring would sit on her hand on its own and also with her intended wedding ring design.
With the silver draft made of both the engagement and wedding rings Tina was able to try them on before the ring was made. At this point we decided to make some very small changes to how the silver draft looked but were ready to make the actual ring. The finished ring is pictured below and is made in 18ct yellow and white golds and features 1.40 carats of diamonds.
