The Macedonian starburst was embossed on the gold larnax inside the burial tomb of Philip II of Macedon who was the father of Alexander the Great.
The meander symbol around the outside of the starburst symbolised eternity and the flow of human life by reproduction to the ancient people of Greece.
The diamond in the centre of the starburst is a naturally white diamond that has been irradiated and then heated and cooled to turn the colour yellow.
