A customer who is also a keen photographer asked me the other day how I get so many photos of animals and insects when I am about taking landscape photos. The camera settings and lens required for those two scenarios are totally different and often you have minimal times to grab the shot so changing a lens and settings is not possible.
The answer is that most times when I am out roaming I have two cameras with me much like you see sports photographers have two cameras at a football game. One is set up for landscapes and the other, usually in my hand, is set up for anything that might pop into my view at a greater distance away or be very small.
These are some of the most memorable animals/insects that I have bumped into during my travels and where it happened. Some are memorable because I have seen them once and others because I associate the location with that animal/insect and see them there often.
