Rhodes - Greece

We really enjoyed our time in Rhodes. It was one of the most interesting places and not crowded. I would definitely go back there for a longer stay. 

With the boat pulling right up at the entrance to the medieval city we had no bus or train travel to contend with. We got one of our fullest and longest days on shore at Rhodes and it was no where near long enough.

The Olympic Stadium at the Acropolis of Rhodes was a highlight for me despite the Temple of Apollo being closed for repair.  It was one of the very view places where you could actually walk right in to the centre of it. Maybe it was the heat but we were virtually the only ones there.

We were still able to enter The Olympic stadium and theatre at the Acropolis so it was worth the 3klm walk.
