When I origianally designed this ring we had 4 twists in the ring. Due to the number 4 having a certain connection to an undesirable word in both Japanese and Chinese we change the number of twists to six.
In Japanese the number 4 is either “yon” or “shi”. The latter “shi” is also the verb shinu which means “to die”
