Some major events in life meant this young lady was unable to attend her graduation after years of long and hard study. In steps her husband to help celebrate the occasion. He asked me to come up with a ring design to mark the occasion.

The year of graduation is engraved on the band and the blue sapphire represents the colour of the dress that she never go to wear.
