Nearly everything I make starts from an existing design. I made the above ring last year and this new customer really liked it.

Watch how much we modify that design so that this customer ends up with something truly unique.

The most obvious change is that the new ring uses an oval instead of a round. The main gem is a 1 carat brilliant oval cut GIA certified diamond.

The ring is also now two tone with the band 18ct yellow gold and the setting 18ct palladium white gold.

With the setting, side profile angles were changed and sapphires added. The circular features in the shoulders of the band were removed.

A lot of discussion went into the changes above that seem quite simple as I write this. Getting them just right took us a fair bit of time. Hopefully you can see how it is possible to start with a design you have seen and make it truly your own.
