My favourite set of wedding rings of late

25th March 2022 - Customer location: Nhulunbuy, Northern Territory

The proposal ring shown above was a temporary ring used to hold the gem of my customers choice for a surprise proposal. After the proposal the couple modified that design together with the changes they desired. Part of that design process involved planning for the wedding ring to ensure the desired wedding ring sits well with the engagement ring.

The wedding ring design she desired.

This customer left the remaking of her proposal ring until we were ready to make the wedding ring. Once the designs were finalised the rings were made to the correct finger size.

Size drafts to determine the correct size for these designs.

As you wear two rings on the same finger they turn into one wider ring and for many people the wider a ring is the larger it needs to be to fit that same finger.

In order to get the finger size correct I sent drafts the same shape as the bands in varying sizes so that the customer could try them on to ensure that when the rings were made they fitted perfectly.

I wrote “I sent drafts” because all the design and creation of these rings was done remotely between Cairns in Queensland and Nhulunbuy in the Northern Territory.

You can see from the photo above that she decided to change the band of the engagement ring to yellow gold during the wedding ring design process. In the case of this design, both the wedding and engagement ring needed to be made one size bigger than we made the proposal ring.

The same process was used to design and determine the correct size for the grooms ring which is pictured above with the brides. Have a great weekend.
