A bit of this and that.

14th June 2021 - Customer location: Cairns

I thought today I would just share some recent pieces. The first are some Golden South Sea Pearls that I purchased a couple of years ago that I finally got around to making into earrings.

I have left them un-drilled just incase someone loves the pearls but wants to have them made into another design. With my French hooks I like to add a catch to keep them safely on the ear.

A scalloped antique style solitaire that I also made for stock. I love making this old style of jewellery and find the urge to make more pieces just for fun stronger as I get older. I have set a half carat diamond into this ring but it will translate into larger and to a lesser extent smaller diamond sizes depending on your budget.

The final piece for today is a remodel for a long time customer. She finds that wider rings once on sit on her finger better than narrow ones. Because of this she decided to turn 3 rings, including her wedding and engagement rings into one ring. There is a mixture of old single and brilliant cut diamonds in there and her gold was recycled.

The design is made in 3 sections with the largest diamond in the first photo the main gem from her engagement ring. The narrow band that runs through the middle is her wedding ring.

Being a 360 degree design it was essential to get this ring the correct size as resizing is not really an option. Have a great week everyone.
