Some recent pieces

These earrings were finished a while ago and were a surprise gift from a groom to his bride for their wedding day last weekend.
The earring design is based on her engagement ring and to make them that little bit more special I custom made some butterflies to match.
The earrings were made in 18ct palladium white gold and the total diamond weight of the pair is 1.10 carats.
The last couple of weeks I have made 3 engagement ring using oval diamonds. The diamond above is .75 carats, F colour, Vs2 clarity and GIA certified.
Ovals are extremely popular at the moment and finding the diamond that has all the parameters desired by the customer is much harder than it is with a round diamond.
A four claw tulip design was used for the proposal ring and it may come back to be melted down and remade to the right finger size or the design changed all together.

Since I last posted I made a trip out to Hughenden to visit my oldest son who is stationed there at the hospital for a couple of months. The New Years resolution to work less is a work in progress but I am trying.
We had a great time and cannot wait to go back. You can read more about the trip and view photos here.
