Varied Honeyeater
I am not sure if this is a Singing or Varied Honeyeater. If you know please let me know. I am guessing from where I saw one searching for food it is a Varied.
The varied Honeyeater lives in coastal forest, open woodlands, dunes, thickets, parks, open gardens and also mangroves. The last of those environments is where I spotted his one. The immature birds also have a lighter colour, which I am assuming this is a juvenile in the mangroves.
They feed on insects and nectar. They are a moderately common bird and both sexes look similar. Their call is very similar to the loud rollicking trills of the Singing Honeyeater only louder and more varied.
