White-bellied Sea-Eagle

Tablelands Swamp, January 2021.

On a visit to Tarzali Lakes we were told of a resident bird that likes to feed on the young Platypus when they leave the nest. We never saw that Sea-Eagle but did see a pair later that day hunting in the Tablelands Swamps.

At the time it was raining intermittently and very dark and overcast. Not good for photos but you take what you can get.

Tablelands Swamp, April 2021.

On another visit to the Swamps the light was much better. I did see another bird but it too was a very long way away from me. I will keep on trying.
