Bit of this and that

30th April 2024 - Customer locations: Cairns & Malanda

9ct yellow gold Cuff.

The symbolism of this bangle to the wearer makes it very special and one of the most memorable pieces I have ever made. A beautiful and personal message is also engraved on the inside.

I will not share the story behind it with you but hope you can enjoy the work that went into it regardless. I have now made pieces of jewellery for nearly every member of this family, some who I am yet to meet. I feel very lucky to have customers like this!

Shared prong round and marquise cut diamond eternity ring.

This ring was made last week for another longtime customer. The design features a shared claw that holds both the marquise diamond and the adjoining round diamond in place. A design like this needs a gentle life and the wearer knows it.

9ct rose gold and diamond clip hoop drops.

These drops were personally designed by the customer to go on my standard clip hoops. The design is his and I will not repeat it. I have also had the pleasure of making pieces of jewellery for quite a few members of his family.

I have not posted anything about My World for a while so next is some news about the area I live in.

Walking in the rainforest, Barron Gorge, 28th April 2024.

Barron Gorge Road following cyclone Jasper was closed to the public until just recently. The road is still closed to cars but you can walk or ride a bike in so I will probably spend the weekend in the rainforest there like I did last Sunday.

Have a great week.
